I am here to help you step away from self-hatred and a punishment mentality when it comes to your fitness, and step into one of self-love, empowerment, and healing...with the body of your dreams and desires.
Walk into any gym and you will find people doing exercises that are completely ineffective and potentially dangerous. Body image can be an enormous distraction in our daily lives. The thought, 'I’m too fat' plagues nearly every woman on the planet! But, none of us were meant to live life doubting our self-worth based on a number on the scale. And, we weren’t meant to live our lives in the gym either.
I don’t motivate, coerce, or plead...I empower you through truth in fitness. Not a quick-fix gimmick in sight. My goal is to unlock the “fitness neuroticism”.
Fitness should not be hazardous to your health. This is why I emphasize alignment, nutrition, and fitness solutions for mind, body, and spirit. Alignment not only means the placement of your feet under your hips, it also means aligning your mind with your body to train smarter, not harder, and unlocking your internal and external resistance to change. Whether you are prenatal/postnatal, going through a major life event, or just ready for a change in your fitness scenery, I want to help you find a place in your life...to dream big and desire more.
A Live Interview with Star's Locker Founder, Sarah Ingmanson
Dream Big. Desire More.
"Let go of the belief that you’re not worthy of your desires.”
This former executive director at Morgan Stanley, professional figure skater, and Fulbright Scholar, is an award-winning fitness competitor, instructor, and author. Sarah talks the talk and walks the walk of empowered fitness…occasionally in Japanese!
Behind her “Dream big. Desire more.” motto is the message she wishes to instill in her clients.
Sarah began teaching group fitness in 2007 and soon fell in love with lifting and competing in the NPC Bikini Division. Placing 5th at North Americans, 7th at the Arnold Sports Festival, and 10th at Nationals, Sarah has competed on both sides of pregnancy (as well as her 30's & 40's...) and wishes to share her knowledge with women struggling to achieve the body transformation they so desire and deserve!
Founding Star's Locker in 2015, Sarah developed a “Star Transformation“ program customized for female clients of all ages, backgrounds, and exercise history, both near and far. Sarah is obsessed with imparting the "why" of any exercise and all facets of nutrition as stepping stones to trust, confidence, and mastery. In this coaching process, she helps her clients break free from self-sabotage, self-doubt, and self-loathing, the key impediments to sustainable transformation.
Sarah received her MBA from Wharton, her MA in International Affairs from the Lauder Institute, and a BA from Tufts University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in International Relations and Quantitative Economics.
