Our certified fitness instructors and trainers help you step away from self-hatred and a punishment mentality into self-love, empowerment, and healing...with the body of your dreams and desires.
Walk into any gym and you will find people doing exercises that are completely ineffective and potentially dangerous. Body image can be an enormous distraction in our daily lives. The thought “I’m too fat” plagues nearly every woman on the planet! But, none of us were meant to live life doubting our self-worth based on a number on the scale. And, we weren’t meant to live our lives in the gym either.
At Star’s Locker, we don’t motivate, coerce, or plead...we empower you through truth in fitness. Not a quick-fix gimmick in sight. Our goal is to unlock the “fitness neuroticism”.
Fitness should not be hazardous to your health. This is why we emphasize alignment, nutrition, and fitness solutions for mind, body, and spirit. Alignment not only means the placement of your feet under your hips, it also means aligning your mind with your body to train smarter, not harder, and unlocking your internal and external resistance to change. Whether you are prenatal/postnatal, going through a major life event, or just ready for a change in your fitness scenery, Star’s Locker is the place for you...to dream big and desire more
A Live Interview with Star's Locker Founder, Sarah Ingmanson
Meet our multi-talented Star Instructor Trainers!
"Let go of the belief that you’re not worthy of your desires.”
Sarah has been teaching group fitness in the Valley since 2007. She teaches BodyPump and BodyFlow, and works 1×1 with clients on their personal “Star Transformations“. She competed for several years as a nationally-ranked NPC Bikini Competitor. She has her MBA from Wharton, her MA in International Affairs from the Lauder Institute, and a BA from Tufts University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in International Relations and Quantitative Economics. This former executive director at Morgan Stanley, professional figure skater, and Fulbright Scholar, is an award-winning fitness competitor, instructor, and author. Sarah talks the talk and walks the walk of empowered fitness…occasionally in Japanese!
Behind her “Dream big. Desire more.” motto is the message she wishes to instill in her clients.
Amber (currently on maternity leave!)
"Everyone…every body…is so different! My approach to teaching acknowledges and celebrates those differences.”
Amber grew up dancing in Nebraska, started competing at the age of 10, and performed as a professional dancer in Las Vegas, NYC, Branson, and on various cruise ships around the world. In Spain, while dancing, she discovered yoga…
As common with many athletes, injuries made Amber realize the importance of a yoga practice. In pregnancy, she was frustrated by prenatal classes and ended up cultivating her own practice…seeing firsthand how a one-size-fits-all format fails miserably.
Amber is a wife and the mama of an adorable little boy. She is also a Hypnobirthing practitioner. Her classes include Barre, Mat Pilates, Sculpt, Stretch, and Vinyasa Yoga.
"Health, happiness, and self-esteem are within reach of everyone.”
Kelley began her group fitness journey shortly after her 30th birthday. She teaches BodyPump and BodyFlow. A native of Southern Ohio, she has earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Morehead State University, one of the premier music education schools in the country.
A veteran teacher with over 15 years experience, Kelley is the elementary music specialist at Harriet Treem E.S. She has participated in the competitive pageantry arts for over 20 years and has served as a music and movement instructor for local programs.
Kelley is a proud resident of Henderson, NV. Her interests include travel, watching college basketball and the band, Green Day. In addition to her husband of 14 years, she shares her home with two cats, one large and well-behaved, and one small and…poorly-behaved.
"Laughter and play are life's fountains of youth!”
Meet our youngest instructor, Katie -- an exceptional instructor with maturity and presence well beyond her 14 years!
Katie describes why she loves Yoga: "Not only the practice, but the beautiful community that comes with it!"
Inspired by the smiles and positive transformation she witnessed in others and personally experienced herself, she decided to enroll in LifePower yoga teacher training while still in middle school! She wishes to share the practice of Yoga with people of all shapes, levels, and cultures.
Katie believes that everybody can cultivate the relaxing, calm of a Yoga practice as well as the challenging and sometimes emotional experience that Yoga brings out.
From one of her mentors, she adopted the philosophy: "We should not use our bodies to get into postures, but postures to get into our bodies."
When she is not playing hide and seek with her favorite cat, Katie is doing homework or laughing and eating with friends.
